Software Engineer at Zimpra
Architecting enterprise-grade applications and AI-driven automation. Scalable distributed systems with event-driven patterns and real-time data pipelines.
Systems & architecture
- Resilient event-driven architecture on message queues with robust publisher/consumer patterns: DLQ, exponential backoff, observability.
- Split resource-heavy work into a scalable Utility Microservice for multi-channel notifications and streaming PDF/CSV/Excel processing.
- Custom Worker Pool to offload CPU-bound tasks, keeping execution non-blocking and latency predictable.
Fleet & location tracking
- High-scale location-tracking APIs that ingest SIM-based (cell network) and GPS pings from fleet trucks.
- A high-scale, real-time alert system that evaluates a continuous stream of truck locations and raises fleet alerts with low latency.
- A distance engine, built to run at fleet scale, that works out accurate trip distances from sparse, noisy or off-route SIM and GPS points on long hauls.
Integrations
- Interactive bots for Google Chat, Microsoft Teams and Slack, so teams can get updates and act without leaving chat.
Security & core services
- Zimpra Core: a centralised auth server with granular Policy-Based Access Control. Custom rules, actions and resources with dynamic constraints for multi-tenant scopes.
Product engineering & AI
- Hierarchical employee tracking across 15 levels of role depth, with optimised recursive aggregation for real-time analytics.
- Ollama LLMs in a voice AI assistant for intelligent form parsing via prompt chaining.
- Cross-platform mobile UI and production REST APIs, including a vehicle carbon-footprint calculator and geo-tracking.
